How older adults should actually exercise
The ageing process cannot be stopped but the rate of its natural decay can be slowed down. In fact, older individuals can "reverse" (to a certain extent) that process by becoming much stronger and fitter. Individuals in their 60's, 70's or even 80's do not have to restrict themselves to very light training, afraid of breaking as though they are made of glass. It's all about considering limitations, medical conditions, effects of ageing and then develop a bespoke fitness program that provides appropriate "progressive overload".
Progressive overload is - in the context of exercise science - "the principle of gradually increasing the demand placed on your body over time towards continually improve strength, muscle growth, and overall fitness. This means steadily increasing the intensity, volume, or duration of your workouts to challenge your muscles and stimulate adaptation, preventing training plateaus." This is applicable to ANY AGE. Eliminate this principle and all you have is "moving about" for either maintenance or marginal gains and benefits.
Program Stages & Fees
3-month-commitment & Sustainability
Not only the 3-month commitment is compulsory and contractual to benefit from lower fees per session, but also to achieving significant improvements under our instruction. At the end of that period of time, the client should be familiar enough with the routines, thus, capable to understand and put it into practice on his/her own afterwards, in an appropriate environment (own home gym or public gym) at a much-reduced cost, so the new lifestyle becomes sustainable.
